Dear parents, Your kids are composing a "love letter" to the fall in class and I can't wait to send them home to share. I asked them to tell fall how they'd dress if they went out on a date, and where they'd take fall if they were going out to eat, and I am more than delighted in the outcomes. I must say one of my favorite lines is from Ben with, "Fall, I'd take you to an all you can eat buffet, just you and me." I hope the language your children are learning to use to express themselves about this magical season make you all as warm and fuzzy on the inside as it has me! I challenge you to post your favorite line from your child when they come home with the letters!

Today we went to the zoo and the weather was perfect. We finally got to see the giraffes. The color of the dots was like milk chocolate brown and the skin tone was like powdered sugar. The cutest animals were the artic fox and the ocelot. The artic fox was curled up like a python, and the ocelot was as still as a statue. I hope Claire can go with me next year too.

What wonderful descriptions and similies of the animals, Taylor! Palmer and I are going tomorrow morning, I wish we could have run into you there. I hope the animals are as thrilled to be outdoors tomorrow being seen as a child during a first snow of the season for sledding!
